Our next social outing will be for a lunch at Caves Coastal bar & Bungalows (formally known as the Caves Beach Hotel) on Friday 21st August next.

 

Originally opening as a local tavern with accommodation, the site transformed into a modern coastal resort before being acquired in April 2022 by prominent hospitality syndicate, the Oscars Group for a reported $35M. The venue currently features adult-only bungalows, multi-bedroom villas, townhouses and a luxury 4 bedroom beach house. Meanwhile, dining and events offers an indoor-outdoor dining restaurant utilizing a paddock-and-ocean-to-plate philosophy, alongside 3 dedicated function and conference spaces. 

 

 

For those who haven’t been there before, proceed over the Swansea Channel bridge, through the shopping strip to a large roundabout (Maccas on your right) where you will veer left off the Pacific Hwy onto Bowman St. Continue along a short distance until the road begins to divide and swing to the right. At this point, take a left turn into Northcote Ave (St Patrick’s Primary School on your left) and then take the first street on your right – Caves Beach Rd. Follow this road until you arrive at the Caves Beach shopping precinct where you will turn left into Mawson Close, with the venue a short distance on your left. Parking is available under the venue (incl. Disabled spots) or along the slip lane opposite.
