Barefoot Bowls May 2026

  • Post category:social
We will meet at the Club around 12.00pm for lunch, followed by a mixture of some ‘clinical’ and some ‘wild & woolly’ (no doubt) bowling. As the title implies, the idea is to experience some ‘earthing’ (bare feet on the grass). However, if you do want to keep those footsies wrapped up, flat, soft shoes are ok for the greens. As many of you (myself included) may have never tried your hand at lawn bowls or just had an occasional social attempt – don’t despair. I am calling on some regular bowlers amongst our members to come along on the day and help the ‘desperados’ to keep our bowls within the lanes and have some idea of scoring.

When:    Friday 8th May 2026
Where:   Club Lambton, 51 Karoola Rd, Lambton
Time:      12.00pm (for lunch, followed by bowling)
Apparel: Suitable clothing, flat, soft shoes (sneakers etc.) or bare feet
Cost:       Bowling – free (bowls provided), lunch/coffee/drinks etc. at own expense

The Club will be supplying the bowls/mats, and they do ask that these are packed away and brought back inside when finished. Don’t forget a broad-brimmed hat, sunscreen or a bottle of water.

Please click here to download the attendance form, complete the details and submit. As always, we do need this information to keep track of everyone attending, while the Club needs numbers to ensure catering is covered and there are sufficient bowls/mats. Numbers by Tuesday 5th May please.

This should be a fun day, and trust the weather is kind. Should it not be, we can always avail ourselves of the Club’s facilities and solve the world’s problems. Hope to see you there.
